The PLC takes the plans made at the Quarterly Planning and makes them detailed during the Monthly PLCs.
The Scribe creates a two-month planner and agenda using the template, previous month's planner, information from Troopmaster, the annual planning calendar, and guidance from other leaders.
During the PLC, the ASPLs and other PORs break into groups to talk about their activities during the last month and the plans for the coming month.
During these breakout groups, PORs like the Instructors or Guides look forward and plan things to teach or present at upcoming meetings. The Quartermaster reviews what kinds of priorities he has for the upcoming workdays, etc.
The SPL can meet with the Patrol Leaders during this time to talk about how the patrols are doing.
Following breakout groups there is an opportunity for a short training topic, about 5 minutes
The PLC talks about how various meetings and events went last month to gather feedback and reflect on what we could do better
The PLC looks about 3-4 months forward at upcoming events. Lead Scouts review their progress toward planning events.
The PLC chooses patrols to be responsible for program, service, or games. The PLC chooses activities, themes and lessons for the upcoming two months of meetings. They are reviewing the upcoming month (it was planned during the last PLC), and coming up with the plans for the next month. This is because there is not a lot of time to prepare between the PLC and the next two meetings. The Scribe makes sure the PLC's decisions are recorded and available for everyone to review.
At the end of the PLC, the Scoutmaster reviews the PLC plans and provides input and/oror feedback.
Following the PLC, the Webmaster makes sure the Troopmaster calendar accurately reflects the PLC's plans, updating, adding or removing items as needed.
